Finally I'm in!

There's a lot to catch up on. Here's a recent list for you.

• 2 page write up on your side taken-16 and pregnant(glamorous or reality?)
• Your design of your nursery.
• catch up in your mommy observations.  goals and 6 questions should be written up. Next Observation is October 19th. This will be the baby halloween party.
• Your 30 minute lesson plans are starting tomorrow.  Kim and Mike are tomorrow.
• Teen pregnancy Webquest. Due November 1st. The handouts are in the file folder in the magazine rack.  Minimum 5 pages.  Answer the 8 questions with example and great detail and then give me your anti-drug. 20%
• Way to go Jessica for earning top student performance in this class for September. Keep up the great work!

We will be fingishing up this Chapter 4 very shortly and moving on to Chapter 5 which is a larger chapter. Please get yourself caught up as quickly as you can.

School Initiative project

Make sure that you have at least 3 Initiatives to report to class tomorrow. You have had enough time to browse through those websites that you were given. You will have to present your ideas tomorrow and the class will vote on which ones we want to do as a group.

Chapter 2 -Parenting

Learning Journal #2 Suppose a 17 year ols unmarried friend confided to youthat she suspected she was pregnant. How would you respond? What advice would you give your friend?

-Describe a time when you were a positive influence on a child.

Chapter 1 - Learning about Children

I'm finally getting on here and remembered my password from last year. You've all been pretty good with getting most of the assigned work in on time. Thank you. It makes my life a lot easier believe me.
Here's what we've done and where you should be now:
Learning Journal #1 - Write a description of your last interaction with a child? What happened? How did you feel? How do you think the child felt?

Assignment #1 - Find photos or baby albums of yourself as a preschooler or talk to a parent/guardian. In 2 pages, reflect on what you were like as a child. Discuss physical development, social, emotional, favorite toys, memories, babysitters etc. In the closing paragraph write your own definition of childhood.

Assignment #2 - Read and finish sheet on "Don't Give Kids thier own TV's"

Question on page 42 #1,2, and 3 and the Observing and Interacting exercise.
